Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine gets to the root cause of issues and works with your body to restore balance and health. We use advanced lab testing and your unique symptoms to understand what your body is struggling with, and then address these findings with nutrition, herbs, supplements, and lifestyle changes to help you feel your best.

Dr. Lindsay Moreau is a board certified naturopathic doctor. She completed her degree at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

During her 4 years of naturopathic medical training she completed rotations in environmental medicine, women’s health, and gastrointestinal disorders. She also took advanced courses in sleep, herbal medicine, and physical medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Lindsay continued her training with a residency at a functional medicine clinic in Atlanta, the largest such clinic in the southeastern United States. Here she worked with patients suffering from all sorts of chronic disease, from thyroid issues to cancer to mold toxicity.

“The best part of my job is when my patient comes back after a month or two and so many of their issues are completely gone,” Dr. Lindsay says. “So many times my patient was told they had to live with these issues, and that was just false.”

Naturopathic medicine has always been her calling, Dr. Lindsay says, she just didn’t know it. “I’ve always loved plants and diet and even as a kid I wondered how these things could improve my sports performance”. When she finally learned about naturopathic medicine, she was already on track to become a medical doctor, so it was easy to make the change. “It felt so right and happened so easily, I knew it was meant to be.”

Dr. Lindsay is so excited to return to her Wisconsin roots with her knowledge and expertise in natural medicine as part of the Ideal Human team. When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Lindsay enjoys strength training, hiking and backpacking, and gardening. She also loves tasty food and is a coffee connoisseur.

“I love the constant challenge of honing my skills to provide the best possible adjustment for each patient, often bringing them instantaneous relief,” Dr. Steve says. “So many of my patients come in because all their medical doctor can offer them is pain pills and surgery, and after working with them, they don’t have to get the surgery and they don’t need pain pills. It’s incredible.”

In his free time, Dr. Steve enjoys photography, strength training, and traveling. “I love travelling because it forces you to get out of your routine and challenges you to evaluate what is truly essential in your life. Living in cheap accommodations, eating what the locals eat, and walking everywhere all while trying to navigate without a cellphone and in a foreign language, it’s all part of the experience.”
